今天看了小玉的婚紗照,漂亮的很!!
即使化了濃妝,還是遮掩不了她那股純真溫婉的氣質.
她再三叮囑不要給別人看,所以也沒機會和其他同事一起欣賞.覺得有點可惜,因為真的很漂亮..!
不過這份含蓄和羞澀正是小玉吸引人之處 :)
轉了負責admin後其中一個最大的祝福是可以和小玉共事,她做事細心認真,樂意幫忙,對我的大頭蝦也從來沒有怨言,加上她不會七長八短說三道四,是幾個女孩子中自己最喜歡的一個.
小M小H辭職了.小W也有去意.有點擔心小玉也會受影響...
要是她走的話會很捨不得她.不過若然她找到更好的發展,還是會替她高興的.

thanksgiving ^^
It was a long week.. Following the KR trip were reports and other hectic assignments which spared me so little time to prepare for the weekend committments.
But God's grace is always sufficient, this weekend is again filled with grace and blessings :)
The Olympic volunteer recharge meeting began with a long-waited gathering among 5, but then grew to 6 and the 6 of us signed up for the same days. Although we might not be working in the same team on those days, it is still very exciting and heart-warming to have buddies to share the joy, the challenges, the good and bad times of this historical event. The unusual arrangement of transportation and shift time is an added excitement to the event. Wow...! I'm looking forward to it soooooo much!!
And thanks to the Ezra buddies, while I was quite unsure how to unfold certain points in the Scripture, the group was well prepared and had a solid discussion. I think the whole group gained something from the BS. I really enjoy BS with B&S who are serious about the Words. It is so inspiring, encouraging and is just a blessing!
This week, I finally got a chance to share with the P2SS class about my Holyland trip! I often wonder if they know that the stories they are hearing every week are in no way any fairy tale but history and true stories happened in the past. It is important to link these stories to the real world. That's why I like showing them photos during story time whenever it is possible.
As I thought, they were so surprised when they found out that the places they heard of exist in the present world, the people actually lived. They now know Israelites are the Jews, there are many people do not know Jesus, Egypt is now a very poor country while Israel, as the chosen people, are blessed with intelligence and wisdom to prosper in the desert land. I only slept for 4 hours for preparing the ppt material. But seeing their fascinated faces, hearing their excited "wow!"s, answering their eager queries... it is just so rewarding and satisfying. I hope this can help them to understand Jesus and the Bible world better. No better blessing than knowing God and loving God from early age. May God bless these little ones.

掃街記
近年好像學會了享受出差時的自由時間.今次住的酒店就在Lotte Department Store對面,明洞的旁邊,所以還沒出發已決定今晚要..."掃街"!
上一次來的時候看到已經很想吃的辣辣年糕...原來真的很辣...吃了5塊舌頭已經受不了.若不是天氣那麼冷(-3度),早就全身著火了.
整個馬鈴薯螺旋切開後炸,之後沾點芝士粉吃.超超好吃!!
只用砂糖做的小吃,在香港沒看過,在日本叫ザラメ.但那味道很熟悉,應該就是西人的honeycomb.
當時的草莓又怎能錯過?這麼一大盤(已經給吃了幾顆)才港幣$50.
雖說產地不及聚地,在不種靠進口的香港甚麼都買得到,但是每當在產地吃到當造的蔬菜水果,就明白那種新鮮可口進口不了呢!

追龍
謝謝DD的推介,才知道在九龍城寨曾經發生過這些感人的故事和奇蹟..!被神使用,委身為神工作的生命所散發出來的香氣和光芒是多麼的令人羨慕.看原著後更明白劇中某些表達的意思.如"追龍"的一幕,有一個美艷嫵媚的女子穿著白旗袍,手拿煙槍,穿插在被毒癮折磨得死去活來的人當中;本來不明白為甚麼這樣表達,看書才知道原來癮君子稱白粉為白小姐,恍然頓悟.
有一位牧師在書中的序提到Jackie是"靈恩"的,所以在初次接觸時也帶有一點謹慎.但是當看到她如何在生命裡實踐耶穌的愛,他的心溶化了,他在她身上看到信仰正統和生命實踐的結合.
曾經因為一位"靈恩"肢體而離開了一個參與多年的小組.雖然我相信神蹟奇事,但當時那位肢體的分享令自己感到很不安,最終因為自己處理不了那不安而選擇離開.可能也是timing的原因,這個小組也在那個時候自然消滅了.
其實一直很欣賞那位肢體在小組中所付出的,這樣讓一個維持多年的小組消失一來很可惜,二來也可能不必要地discourage了那肢體的侍奉熱情.我不會否定他們所經歷的奇蹟,因為神無所不能,祂的作為遠超人能夠想像的.只是在特殊經歷之外,真理的正確掌握非常重要.現在冷靜下來,有時候會希望可以有機會好好談一談,make sure那肢體在特殊經歷以外也正確地理解聖經的道理.
不過要認真地談論的話,首先得克服自己的問題才行.我要剛強...!

God's Love
Understanding God's love and experiencing God's love are different. We all want to experience God's love which is unfailing and brings total acceptance, forgiveness, grace and blessing, and it is the shelter during adversities. But seldom we would want to know more deeply the price God pays to love us.
I always feel sorry for Hosea. Who would ever want to marry someone who is known for his/ her adulterous pursuits? But God asked him to commit himself to an unfaithful woman no matter how badly she has betrayed and hurt him. Hosea would probably have struggled for some time before doing so. But from this traumatising relationship, he would have had a taste of the way God loves the mankind.
For the rest of my life, I will still sin and hurt God the same way. Although I don't want to hurt God, but I know I will still stumble and fall for my weaknesses and temptations. If I truely understood how deeply my sins have hurt God's heart, I would probably be stronger and would not give in to temptations so easily. But it requires great courage to ask for this lesson. The price cannot be easily paid for.

"No human can comprehend God's love for His children! Our limited experience of human love hinders us from understanding God's unconditional love for us. We can see a picture of this love in the life of Hosea.
Hosea was a righteous man, but God told him to marry a sinful woman. Hosea obeyed and took Gomer as his wife. He cherished her and treated her with dignity, and respect. Never before had Gomer experienced this kind of love, but she soon grew dissatisfied. She began giving her affections to other men. She became so involved in adulterous pursuits that finally she abandoned Hosea altogether. Other men used her until she had nothing left to give. Then they sold her into slavery. After this, God gave Hosea an amazing command: ""Go and buy her back."" Despite the intense pain and hurt that Gomer had inflicted on him, God told Hosea to forgive her and to pay, any price to bring her back into his home.
God's message is clear: When we reject Him and turn our devotion elsewhere, our rejection carries the same pain as an adulterous betrayal. After all God has done for us, it is incomprehensible that we should reject Him. It is even harder to fathom that God could love us even after we have rejected, ignored, and disobeyed Him. Yet God's love is completely different from ours. His love follows us to the depths of our sinfulness until He has reclaimed us. His love is undaunted when we run from Him, and He continues to pursue us. What incredible love He has demonstrated to us!"

What will you be doing when you are 67? What can you do when you are 67?
Mr. Hiroshi Hoketsu, at his 67 of age, will represent Japan in the coming Olympic equestrian game.
Mr. Hoketsu did not show up in the TV interview this morning but his wife and daughter. He has been living in Germany since 2003 by his own to prepare for the coming Olympic. His positive attitude and active participation has strengthened some other middle-aged Olympic atheletes' courage and confidence to compete in the game.
In 1998 Seoul Olympic, he was one of the dressage game atheletes. But unfortunately his horse was ill and he could not join the game finally. I sincerely hope that this time he and his partner can perform in their best condition.
How exciting! Let me sign up for those dressage days... huh huh huh...

追風箏的孩子
本身很怕看一些戰爭暴力的電影或悲劇,因為覺得現實世界已經夠多惨事,不需要再從螢幕世界尋找恐怖刺激或傷感,所以寫實內容又深刻的戲不是套套敢看.
Kite Runner完全符合以上條件--描述動蕩社會中生活的人的痛苦與無奈,因為種族而被歧視,婦孺遭欺凌...不過讀了女王的影評後很想看這部電影.也許是想認識阿富汗的情況所致吧.
戲中最觸動人的是Hassan的心--絕對忠誠,單純,樂觀,知足,寬大,勇敢,為了保護自己所重視的可以不顧一切...是一顆黃金般的心.也是他這顆心激起了Amir的妒嫉和出賣,也是這顆心感動了Amir,把他變得勇敢和有承擔,最後將Hassan曾為自己做的都作在Sohrab身上.
另外Baba一角也非常有魅力--有能力,伸張正義,勇敢,嚴厲但深愛自己的孩子(雖然也有不好的地方).生命裡的菱角被歲月磨平,不再將自己的期望強加在Amir的身上.(好一個Baba!)然而,Amir最終也成為Baba一直期盼的勇敢正直的男人.
在螢幕以外的世界,巴基斯坦仍然動蕩,而戲中飾演Hassen, Amir & Sohrab的三個小孩因為戲中的強暴場面和種族歧視的內容以至人身安全受到威脅,需要在電影公司幫助下到外國暫避.這就是他們所處的現實世界.

過年
今年香港的新年氣氛特別濃厚,每天經過銅鑼灣看到行花市的人臉上掛著燦爛的笑容,賀年裝飾,廣告到處可見;只是心裡一直惦掛以巴衝突和肯雅的情況,加上連日的照片風波,雪災新聞;再想到年假後一個接一個的trip,今年新年可以和家人一起的時間不多...其實心裡不太感受得到過年的興奮.
程翔獲假釋回港與家人過年的新聞,為寒天下的香港和近來的報章帶來了一股暖流.特別知道他在牢中信了主,為他的經歷感動不已!神在他身上將詛咒變為祝福,因為他在黑暗中反得到了至寶.
這個農曆年相信會是他和家人最難忘,最感受到一家團圓的寶貴的農曆年.不知不覺間自己也沾了點點過年的喜悅呢!

侍奉
侍奉要求一顆謹守謙卑和清潔的心,因為不是自己工作,乃是要被神使用帶給別人祝福.試過憑己意侍奉,覺得疲累之餘又未能為人帶來祝福,真的是吃力不討好兼且白做.
因為只有依靠聖靈的幫助才可以保持著正確的心態,明白到在侍奉上禱告守候的重要.如今在侍奉的事上不敢輕漫,每次在預備期間都會特別alert.而對我這種經常犯罪的常習犯來說,要時刻保持清心其實很困難,所以每次都會有些緊張...
過去一週,每一項侍奉都on duty,連平時極少認投的領詩也做了.昨晚從中心出來,鬆了一口氣.
雖然累,但那滿足感和幸福感難以形容.
各項事工有各種需要,看到需要也不一定可以全部親力親為去參與,唯有求莊稼的主多派工人來收祂的莊稼.
謝謝好姊妹提醒需要好好安排時間 :)
