reflection

"If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Reading Small Tree writing about the people in Sudan, Iraq, India and many other places suffering from wars, poverty and injustice, my heart have sunk low.

Millions of people live in that cruel environment from the day they were born. They have never known what it is like to have a full stomach or a safe home. Social security, education, career, human rights. These are luxurious ideas that they probably would never enjoy. What wrong they have done?

They haven't done anything wrong. They haven't.

The world is sickened by sin.

Dear Lord, wake us -- those called by Your mighty name, to repent, to pray for Your mercy and to love and give. Cleanse our heart and hands. Heal the land -- the wonderful creation You intended to be a gift for all mankind but ruined in our hands. Have mercy on us!

I know you are a big christian.. I dont know a lot of christianity, but the pain, thought process is same..

Interestingly, I was thinking about [discrimination by god] as I saw lot of poor&needy people today, when I went for community service work.

Whatever we can do may be its better to do some small things to make the situation better.

Thanks for leaving comment here, friend-san,
Yes, I agree with you. We cannot change the world, but doing what we can do is what we can do, no matter how trivial the contribution might be :)

The poor and the problem is not because God's discrimination but a result of human being's selfishness and self-centredness. God has sent His son Jesus to die for our sins so that we can love the way God loves us again. Of course there are many good people who are not Christian, like you :) But then, knowing the salvation and that God is still in control of the world gives us hope.

And I'm not a "big christian". I always struggle and stumble in my spiritual life. But it is OK becasue Jesus did not come to save the perfect (and no one is). God's love is still unchange.
