"pls start praying for our trip to the holyland as security is always a concern there especially we go during the Christmas time."
This is JS 's email message to me. This is why I like JS so much.
JS has taught me the importance of prayer. She prays and leaves her worries and concerns in God's hand and wait on Him; she knows God is almighty and all-knowing, everything is in His control and depend on His guidance and provision; she believes God is loving and would hear her prayers; she trust in God that He will answer her prayers in His way and time which is higher than our thoughts.
When we lived together in the Roo-land, sharing a house among 4 girls, she initiated the weekly prayer meeting. We would sit around the dining table, sharing our worries, concerns and needs, and prayed for each other. Sometimes we shedded tears together when we started to pray but leave the table with a calm and peaceful heart. She also shared with us her vision about missionaries and we prayed for one country every week.
She has always been a role model I look up to in the pursuit of a mature Christian life.
I'm so glad that it is JS with whom I will travel the Holyland. The intense and deep sharings we are going to have and the time we are going to spend together is a promised blessing from God :)
